Understanding the Working of Air Purifiers

Everything we do, be it in our residences or work areas, always has its own outcomes. Air pollution is one of the most disturbing problems we have. Another thing to consider is how frequent the purifier needs replacement of parts. Lastly, consider how much power the air cleaner consumes as it works or on standby.

Thermo air purifiers use heat to clean the air. The air passing through them is heated. Bacteria, virus or fungi are killed by the heat before passing out of the cleaner. Air is cooled slightly before being released into the atmosphere for human use. As the air is cooled, dust particles not affected by the heat are settled and therefore do not flow out.

Ultraviolet based air purifiers are the other types of air purifiers. They have systems equipped with ultraviolet rays. The rays are used to sterilize any foreign material present in the air we breathe. The filter makes air clean by sterilizing the pollutants and making them safe.

High Efficiency Particulate Arrestance (HEPA) air purifiers are the other type of air cleaners. These use the simple trapping mechanism. This, therefore, makes the purifier ideal for cleaning air polluted with physical contaminants. Particles like dust and dust are trapped and do not leave the cleaner. The filter, therefore, requires replacement of parts based on the amount of pollutants present in the air cleaned. This filter is compatible with almost all the other purifiers.

The activated carbon air purifiers come in as another type of common air purifiers. Adsorption is applied by these filters to clean air. Non-solid matter in the air is converted into solid matter. The purifiers can also be used in collaboration with the HEPA air filter.
